Nestle is planning to invest $2.9m in Bulgaria this year. The Swiss food and beverage giant has earmarked funds for the development of new products, IT, safety, Nescafe vending machines and personnel. The Bulgarian unit of Nestle has one production plant in Sofia where Kit Kat bars are produced. The Bulgarian unit mainly exports to Poland, the UK and Germany. Nestle Bulgaria is a market leader in coffee as well as culinary products and cereals. In previous years, animal food and coffee capsules increased its market share in Bulgaria.
