The Polish telecom Netia has filed charges against Telekomunikacja Polska, accusing it of abusing its dominant market position. The news, brought to light by an announcement by Telekomunikacja Polska, brings to an end an uneasy truce between the two competitors. Netia has applied to Court of Commerce in Warsaw for a ācompromise agreementā to agree on damages. But while the court has set a meeting on the matter for May 10, Telekomunikacja Polska does not appear eager for an agreement to be reached. It claims that Netia’s proposal provides no reasonable basis to assess whether it has suffered a loss. Both Netiaās and TPās representatives refused to comment, but according to unofficial sources, Netia could get up to PLN 700m from the case, claiming that T.P.S.A. failed to comply with the agreement .
