The communications company Netia has failed to meet market expectations that it would be back in the black by the end of the first three months of the year. Its first quarter report revealed a PLN 9.8m loss, along with an operational loss of PLN 4.1m. Revenues did increase over the period, ending with a result of PLN 544.3m. That’s a 15 percent increase compared to the first quarter of 2011. “Our growth is expected to be fueled by TV business, though its impact on the result is insignificant”, says Mirosław Godlewski, Neita’s CEO.
