Art-Invest Real Estate has announced that the prestigious Neuer Kanzlerplatz property project in Bonn has been fully let: the last vacant office space of 310 m2 has been let to the renowned commercial law firm sgpartner. The law firm is setting up its office on the 22nd floor of the 101.5 metre-high landmark, which has dominated Bonn’s skyline for two years and offers employees a spectacular view over the entire city.

The building ensemble, which has been owned by Union Investment since 2019, consists of three pentagonal buildings with a gross floor area of 66,000 m2. Thanks to the modern, sustainable construction method, which combines both economic and ecological criteria at the highest level, Neue Kanzlerplatz has become a top address for well-known companies in recent years. In addition to sgpartner, long-term contracts have been concluded with DB Privat- und Firmenkundenbank, the IT company CONET, the Federal Centre for Real Estate Management (BIMA), the corporate coworking provider Design Offices, Stollfuß Verlag, the technology group Ericsson and the catering operator Food Affairs.

The new urban quarter creates a sensitive transition to neighbouring residential developments in the immediate vicinity of the former government district and the Museum Mile and invites visitors to linger with gastronomic offerings and green spaces. The dazzling mirror installation ‘Mirror Pavilion Neuer Kanzlerplatz Bonn’ by the well-known Danish sculptor Jeppe Hein, which will be inaugurated in 2023, sets a special accent.

Thanks to its contemporary architecture, which has been thought through down to the last detail, Neuer Kanzlerplatz was honoured with the German Design Award this year. The award once again emphasises the high quality of the building complex and once again proves the quality of the location: ‘We are proud to be able to offer our employees an inspiring working atmosphere in this prime location. Not only is the view from the 22nd floor magnificent – the office space also fits in perfectly with our self-image as a modern, interdisciplinary consulting unit,’ says Dr Marc Alexander Göb from sgpartner enthusiastically.

‘The appeal of the new Kanzlerplatz can be felt throughout the entire region. We are delighted that the urban development and economic benefits were recognised straight away and that the building ensemble is now fully let,’ says Sven Lintl, Head of Asset Management Germany at Union Investment.

‘With the Neuer Kanzlerplatz, a new era has emerged in the old federal district and we are delighted to see that our vision has come to fruition: where the abandoned Bonn Centre stood until 2017, we now have a city quarter that is profitable in every respect. We have put our heart and soul into developing the project and would like to thank all tenants and Union Investment for the trust they have placed in us,’ summarises Arne Hilbert, Managing Director of Art-Invest Real Estate.

sgpartner and Art-Invest Real Estate were advised by Larbig & Mortag Immobilien Bonn GmbH, an exclusive partner of NAI Partners Germany, on the lease agreement.
