Construction on a RON 30m (about €6.9m) biomass plant that the furniture manufacturer Sortilemn is building in the city of Gherla is nearing completion.
The company, one of the leading local suppliers for IKEA, received more than RON 8.6m (€2.2m) in EU funding.
The plant should begin operations later this month.
