Hungarian gas delivery company FSZG has opened a new compressor station in Csanadpalota near the Romanian border. Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that connecting Hungarian and Romanian gas networks and increasing their capacities have been the country’s most important energy security development projects over the past five years. Szijjarto added that the new interconnector is expected to facilitate a two-way delivery of at least 1.75 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year starting in May. The compressor will form part of the Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria energy corridor.
