New coronavirus cases diagnosed in Poland

On 19th March 2020, 38 new COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in Poland. Thus, the total numer of infected people increased to 325 persons. The highest number of infected people is in the Masovian Voivodeship. Five infected patients died as of March in Poland.

Symptoms of the coronavirus are usually mild and include cough, fever as well as shortness of breath. However, in more severe cases the disease can be fatal, especially among the elderly people and persons with preexisting health conditions.

The employers are considering taking actions in an effort to mitigate the risk of spreading the disease among their employees. Currently, the Ministry of Development is working on an aid package for entrepreneurs. Its draft should be passed to the Sejm on 25 March and the assumed effective date would be 1 April 2020.
