The Social Liberal Union (USL) will have 32 of the 55 counselors in the next General Council of Bucharest, followed by Democrat Liberal Party (PD-L) with 9 counselors and Dan Diaconescu’s People Party (PP-DD) with 4 councilors, according to the final count from Sunday’s voting.
This was the balance of power that corresponds with the 60.3 percent USL received in the voting, compared to the PDL’s 16.3 percent and the 7 percent picked up by PP-DD. The independent candidate Dan Nicusor managed a 4.3 percent showing, meaning he will enter the General Council of Bucharest.
