A new car parts factory for luxury brands will be opened near Zadar. Spearheading the project is Zeljko Uzelac, owner of the Kotar Superior Consulting company. He’s working in conjunction with an Italian subsidiary of the French Valeo company and a German subsidiary of the Belgian company Wabco, both of which are suppliers of Mercedes, Audi, BMW and other brands. Zeljko Uzelac served for many years as director at at LTH Metalni Lijev Benkovac, a producer of automobile industry components.
This new project near Zadar will be a green-field investment of €12m. The building will cost €3m and will house 8 machines worth about €7m and employ 20 employees. One plant will be built in Murvica and a second one will be erected in Benkovac. They expect to start production in autumn 2018.
