This autumn, German based automotive components supplier will start production in the Balti free economic zone in Moldova. For Draexlmaier this will be its third plant in the country, which the company claims will employ around 2,500 people. Draexlmaier started construction of the 27,000 sqm plant in February 2016. The company invested €30m in its first two plants, completed in 2009 and 2011, while this newest facility is worth €31m. Draexlmaier is the biggest contributor for the Balti Free Economic Zone budget. Founded in 1958, the Germany company employs over 55,000 people in 60 factories around the world.
