A Slovenian and two Croatian investors are poised to open two hotels and a four-star resort a few kilometers from Plitvice Lakes National Park in central Croatia this summer. The investments are valued at €11.4m, of which €3.6m will be covered by an EU grant. The Fenomen Plitvice resort will feature 18 accommodation units made from wood and stone as well as restaurant and meeting room.
The Slovenian travel agency Happy Tours is planning open Hotel Lyra in August. This €4m four-star hotel will open in Licko Petrovo Selo. A second hotel is also set to open this summer. The investor is the Croatian company Belveder. The value of this investment is €2.8m, with €940,000 financed by EU funds.
