A number of new investments, totaling €11m, are being planned for the Technological Industrial Development Zone Skopje 1-Bunardzik, according to Koco Angjusev, Macedonia’s vice premier for economic affairs. Zenith International Product from the United Arab Emirates is planning to manufacture water heaters at the site and will invest €3m. The Turkish-based Balkan Plastik, involved in the plastic and mould industry, is planning to build an €8m factory at Skopje 1-Bunardzik. These investments will create around new 80 jobs each. The investment volume in the country totaled €235m in Q1, according to the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia. This is the highest volume in 12 years.
