New factory being built by Slovnaft

10 July 2012

A new polyethylene factory is being built in Bratislava by the Slovak oil company Slovnaft, which is a part of the Hungarian oil company MOL Group. The factory is being built thanks to a $150m loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The loan lasts for 8 years, with construction scheduled to start at the beginning of 2013 and it is planned to be ready by 2015. The investment will increase the factory’s capacity by 40,000 tons annually, giving it a capacity of 220,000 tons.
