In 2024, 47 percent of buyers expect to see price increases in the housing market. Among them, most believe that the increases will be in the range of 10 percent-20 percent, while 13 percent of them believe that the price increases could exceed 20 percent, according to an Imobiliare.ro study.
Price increases are also anticipated by the main active players in the real estate sector. The main arguments are the demand that remains at a high level, the increasingly limited supply of homes available for sale and the more attractive financing packages that buyers are expected to have access to in 2024.
“After two difficult years, but with performances that exceeded even the most optimistic expectations, the residential market gives positive signals at the beginning of 2024. The most important signal comes from buyers, half of whom are concerned about the increase in prices. We expect that precisely this segment of buyers will be very active in the coming months to take advantage of market opportunities; thus, we have all the prerequisites for the number of transactions to increase,” said Daniel Crainic, Imobiliare.ro marketing director.
