Brno could have a new ice hockey stadium capable of seating 12,000 people within three years. The stadium is expected to go up on a plot next to Lužánky park and is to be financed by private investors. Partnering with the investment group DRFG, the Kometa Brno hockey club has unveiled the project, which is being designed by A PLUS. Brno Mayor Petr Vokřál said it was important that the stadium will be financed by private sources and in return for which the city is open to offering the plot for free. The architects are currently carrying out a transport infrastructure study for the location.
