New industrial park going up in Hungarian mining city

18 July 2012

A new industrial park is under construction in the mining city of Bátonyterenye as part of a HUF 454m investment. The park will be built on 11.5 ha of land and it is scheduled to finish by the end of the year. The EU-supported project is expected to create 300 to 500 new jobs. Bátonyterenye is in one of the least developed regions in Hungary, but many new projects are planned for the area. The development company Kisterenyei is also developing new industrial facilities in the region.
