A new industrial park is being built in Bátonyterenye as part of a HUF 454m investment. The park will be built on 11.5 hectares of land and it is planned to be ready by the end of the year. The EU supported project is expected to create 300-500 new jobs. Bátonyterenye was among the least developed regions of Hungary, but many investments have been started there lately. The development company Kisterenyei is also creating new industrial areas in the region.
