Special Hospital Merkur from Vrnjacka Banja will invest in a new spa and wellness center to fulfill and improve its offering. The hospital has been operating for 70 years in this Serbian spa center and now will invest €4m in the up-market medical center called Splendor. This project will start with the reconstruction of an old villa, while construction of a new wellness and spa complex is to get underway by the end of the year, including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The new complex will offer 58 luxury rooms and apartments and it expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
Splendor will offer a mix of medical, sports and congress tourism facilities. Merkur will finance the project in part through bank loans.
