A new iniative in the city of Porto is being undertaken to revitalize the commercial center of Cedofeita Street by providing a New Market area featuring fashion, music, and crafts to the location. The organizers of the initiative, Ana Modesto and Marcia Coelho chose the Cedofeita Shopping Centre as the center for these new acitvities, which it is hoped will bring more people to the center of town and breathe new life into some of the more forgotten commercial areas. Cedofeita Street is one of the main arteries of downtown Porto and an important shopping destination. The idea is to provide a space for those who produce crafts, fashion and other goods to promote and sell their products. The market intends to hold workshops, exhibitions and events for vendors, artists and exhibitors.
