The developer Blanchard & Calhoun is planning a new Marriott Residence Inn near Universal Orlando Resort. The project, which would be built at 5616 Major boulevard, would include a 5-story, 196-room hotel and a meeting room. The proposal will be reviewed April 21 by the municipal planning board and potentially reviewed by the Orlando City Council May 18. The Augusta-based developer appointed Ponder & Ponder as architects for the project.
