New P+R underground parking opens at Prague’s Roztyly metro station

20 August 2024

A new public underground parking lot has been opened in Prague’s Roztyly district, adjacent to the metro station of the same name. The parking facility, located beneath the recently completed Roztyly Plaza administrative building, offers 100 covered parking spaces available to the general public. Situated directly on the C “Roztyly” metro line, the P+R (Park and Ride) car park provides a convenient option for drivers looking to park their vehicles near the metro.

Drivers can park their cars all day for a flat rate of CZK 50. If the parking duration exceeds 24 hours, an additional charge of CZK 10 per hour applies. Payments can be made either by card or in cash. More information on the operation and occupancy of Prague’s P+R car parks is available on the website of TSK, the city’s road maintenance authority.

Martin Unger, Technical and ESG Director at Passerinvest Group, the company behind the Roztyly Plaza development, highlighted the strategic location of the new facility. “The Roztyly Plaza building naturally integrates into the P+R concept, which facilitates combined transport and helps reduce the traffic burden on the city center. We believe drivers will appreciate the easy access from Tomíčkova Street, the spacious parking spots, and the near-direct entrance to the C Roztyly metro station vestibule,” Unger said. He added that the modern Roztyly Plaza, which still has some vacant office spaces, has enhanced the area not just through new services and shops, but also by providing this convenient parking solution.
