Bilateral industrial cooperation is about to start in one of the free business zones in Serbia. Russia’s ambassador Chepurin is promoting the project, pointing out that the country is Serbia’s third biggest trading partner, responsible for 7.2 percent of all trade in the first half of 2017. The export of Serbian products grew by 19.2 over the first five months of the year, with the most important items of trade being agricultural products. The new industrial park should offer high tech production targeting the Balkan region, Turkey and the EU.
