New ski resort planned for Liptov

2 September 2014

Enpora is planning to build a new ski resort, to be called Huty, between Orava and Liptov. Enpora wants to build eight or nine new ski slopes totaling up to 7km. The scheme will include ski lifts, restaurants, bars, accommodation, ski services and parking for 595 cars. The investor believes the location between the popular Roháče and Jasná mountain ski areas will attract 1,800 to 3,500 people per day. The project will cost Enpora €50m, and the investor hopes to be able to complete it by 2019. The project still needs to win approval from the Slovak Environment Ministry.
