Online fashion retail Zalando held a topping out ceremony for its new Berlin headquarters, which is scheduled for completion in September. Ramona Pop, senator for economy, energy and enterprises, along with Christian Berger from UBM and Raimund Paetzmann, vice president of real estate at Zalando, attended the ceremony. The headquarters is going up in the city’s Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, near the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Zalando has leased 42,000 sqm of space in the seven-story building. HENN Architekten designed the scheme, while PORR Deutschland is the general contractor.
