Newly-formed Space Brokers targets Czech logistics sector

10 December 2020

Six former members of the 108 Agency team in the Czech Republic have come together to form a new full-service agency called Space Brokers. While four of the six are industrial and logistics specialists (Michal Barthell, Jana Slavikova, Martin Sumera, and Marek Sykora), the experience of the other two lie in offices and investment (Ondrej Strasirybka and Marek Votava respectively). The company has also brought on board Rudolf Zurek for logistics consulting on highly technical issues, as he has worked more than a decade in the logistics field at Alza.cz, DPD and Ubiquiti. Michal Barthell says that the founders realized that they would have a better chance at picking up clients if they banded together. “We are a team of experienced guys on the market for 5 or more years,” says Martin Sumera. “I’ve been active for 16 years. So in the early autumn, we decided to join forces and set up the company.”

They said that they will be interested in working with all clients for whatever real estate work they need, whether those are 500 sqm or 10,000 sqm requirements. “The biggest winners of the situation are the e-commerce companies,” he says. “For sure, the increases are enormous. But he warns of a general expectation that demand will fall in Q1 2021 as household savings run out. “Everything depends on the length of the health crisis and when the vaccine will be developed” says Sumera. “But the industrial market is performing still quite well and we believe that other sectors will recover soon.”
