Speciality leasing is a proposition for brand owners who want to strengthen their position in the retail market. It is one of the services offered by Nhood Services Poland to companies interested in temporarily leasing retail space in Ceetrus Polska’s 24 facilities. The popularity of this type of cooperation with tenants is growing every year, as it translates into tangible business benefits.
In 2023, Nhood Services Poland signed 176 short-term contracts (less than 1 month), 70 long-term contracts (more than 1 month) and renewed 82 ongoing contracts. The company’s revenue from speciality leasing in 2023 was 30 per cent higher than in 2022.
“We believe in the potential of temporary leases, not only as a way for landlords and investors to profit from common areas in retail facilities, but also as a contribution to enriching the shopping experience, which means a fuller and more diverse offer that complements the current range of products,” Daria Golonka, temporary lease specialist, who coordinates speciality leasing activities at Nhood Services Poland.
As part of speciality leasing, Nhood Services Poland offers the lease of space for, among other things, shopping islands, venues, pop-up stores, vending machines and machines, promotional activities, larger commercial events, themed fairs, markets, ticketed events, product displays or outdoor area animations.
“We prepare tailor-made offers because we thoroughly analyse our client’s needs and business objective. We know Ceetrus Polska’s 24 shopping centres inside out, which is why we know what works best, propose the most effective solutions and build long-term relationships, thanks to which our customers keep coming back to us,” argues Daria Golonka.
The benefits of short-term leasing of space in shopping centres owned by Ceetrus Polska are numerous. The most noteworthy are the presence in a strong retail location and benefiting from the synergy of the brands present there, the opportunity to develop one’s own offer and a flexible agreement in terms of timing and location. Depending on business needs or expansion plans, it is possible to opt for a presence in all centres, when the tenant wants economies of scale, a regional presence or in individual centres.
Agreements are concluded for various periods, starting with one-day promotional campaigns, progressing through several months of product displays and up to multi-year agreements for the rental of sites for shopping islands.
An example of long-term and satisfactory cooperation with a tenant is the regional product fairs organised by Lux Jarmark. The company offers, among others, Podlaska Chata cold meats, traditionally baked sourdough bread, original knots, highland cheese and other delicacies from the Podhale region. The fairs are held in 12 locations across the country.
Nhood Services Poland also has partnerships with both thriving regional brands, such as the family-owned, Kraków-based ice cream shop Good Lood in Galeria Bronowice, and brands with outlets across Poland, such as IQOS in 10 Ceetrus Polska centres.
An interesting solution of Nhood Services Poland is cooperation with tenants already present in the centres. This is done by leasing additional space in the arcade or organising promotional campaigns. One example is the Millenium bank, which carried out promotional campaigns aimed at attracting new customers by presenting current offer opportunities at special islands in 3 Ceetrus Polska facilities.
