No social contributions for employees above 55 and below 25 in Romania

Companies that hire unemployed people above 55 or under 25 will not have to pay social contributions for them for a year after hiring, if they keep the employees for at least a year after the facility expires, the Romanian Government has announced.

The employer will not pay contributions to health insurance, pensions and unemployment, but the employees will still pay their share of these contributions.
