Romania will receive β¬306m non-repayable grant from authorities in Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, as part of reducing social and economic discrepancies program in European Economic Area (EEA) countries.
The funding is being granted based on memorandums signed by the Minister of European Affairs, Leonard Orban, and officials from the three financing countries. Between 2014-2020, Romania will receive β¬190.75m through the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and from β¬115.20m through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
