Northern and northwestern Poland became the new target of the international investor Accolade. Investments in excess of EUR 50 million will go to two new locations where modern, environmentally friendly industrial parks will be built. The towns of Elbląg and Koszalin are conveniently located near the sea and major ports, as well as important road routes. New tenants such as DPD and AutoStore have already leased their space in newly planned industrial parks.

“Due to its location, West Pomerania attracts many investors, including companies from Scandinavia and Germany, and is becoming an attractive place for the commercial real estate market. Koszalin is the second largest city center in the voivodship and a city with great potential for economic development after Szczecin, where Accolade is very active. The park in Koszalin will therefore be a great opportunity for companies looking to develop in Pomerania, while offering the benefits of being located in the Słupsk Special Economic Zone. On the other hand, due to the planned infrastructure projects, Elbląg will also be developed. The construction of the canal on the Vistula Spit will allow ships to enter the Vistula Lagoon area and access the port of Elbląg. Thanks to their universities, both cities offer access to a skilled workforce,” comments Michał Białas, Director of Accolade Poland.

In Koszalin, two new industrial buildings with a total area of 41,000 sqm will also be built on a plot of land with an area of 78,311 sqm. The international robotic technology company AutoStore, which invented and continues to develop Cube Storage Automation, a state-of-the-art order fulfillment solution, has already leased almost 14,000 m2 and moved to Building B in the first quarter of 2022.

The modern A-Class Park in Koszalin will be conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the S6 motorway. Like Elbínek, Koszalin has over 100,000 inhabitants and is the second largest city in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. In addition to being located just 3 kilometers from the city center, the park is just a short walk from the Baltic Sea with great connections to Germany and Scandinavia. It is about a 30-minute drive from Kołobrzeg Harbor and an hour from Szczecin Goleniow Airport. Tenants will also appreciate the proximity of important roads to Berlin and Kaliningrad.

In Elbínek, Accolade is investing in the construction of two modern halls with a total area of 20,000 sqm. One of the buildings with an area of 2000 sqm has been owned by the tenant, the transport and logistics company DPD, since April 2022.

Elbínek Park is located just 5 kilometers from the city center and a 35-minute drive from the important Polish port of Gdańsk. Elbínek is the second largest city in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and, in addition to being an industrial center, it lies on modernized state roads to Warsaw and Krakow, and especially to Kaliningrad, Russia. It is only 110 kilometers away.

However, a slightly larger park near the western town of Koszalin will have a similarly advantageous location. Both projects strive for high BREEAM sustainability certification, the park in Koszalin at the level of “Excellent” and the park in Elbínek at the level of “Very Good”.
