The average monthly income per household in Bulgaria increased by 2.9 percent y-o-y in the last four months of 2015, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (NSI). The monthly income per household member increased by an average of €645, while spending per household member went down 0.7 percent y-o-y, averaging €594 per month for Q4.
Wages accounted for 55.2 percent of a household’s income in the last quarter of 2015 followed by pensions (25.9 percent), self-employment (7 percent) and social benefits (3.8 percent).
