Building authorities in the Zlín Region issued 3,174 building permits from January to September last year, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3 percent. However, the indicative value of permitted constructions in the first to third quarter rose by 24.5 percent to almost CZK 15.9 billion. Of the four districts in the region, the authorities issued the highest number of building permits in the Zlín region, and the lowest number in the Kroměříž region. This is according to data published by the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ).
In the three quarters, 2,031 building permits were issued for buildings in the Zlín Region. Of these, 1356 permits were for residential buildings and 675 permits for non-residential buildings. 1,143 permits were issued for civil engineering structures from January to September.
Of the 1,356 building permits issued for residential buildings, 811 permits were for new construction and 545 permits were for alterations to completed buildings. Of the 675 building permits issued for non-residential buildings, 301 were for new construction and 374 for alterations to completed buildings.
All constructions in the region for which building permits were issued from January to September had an indicative value of CZK 15.855 billion. The average indicative value of one building permit in the region was almost CZK 5 million and was the sixth highest among all regions, including Prague.
The highest number of permits issued in the region in the first three quarters of 2022 was in the Zlín region, 873. In the Uherské Hradiště region there were 851, in the Vsetín region 819 and in the Kroměříž region 631. In the Uherské Hradiště region it was CZK 4.152 billion, in the Vsetín region CZK 3.988 billion and in the Kroměříž region CZK 1.932 billion.
In 2021, building authorities in the Zlín Region issued 4,430 building permits, compared to 4,282 a year earlier. The indicative value of permitted constructions increased from CZK 16.751 billion in 2020 to CZK 17.810 billion the year before.
