Roughly 31,500 Hungarian citizens moved abroad in 2014, a significant increase from the previous year, according to official statistics. In 2013, more than 21,500 Hungarians moved abroad, based on health insurance and registry data. However, the number is thought to be much higher. The most popular destinations for Hungarians immigrants are Germany, the UK and Austria.
