Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj saw an increase in office deals in the first quarter of 2014. Leases were signed on 61,000 sqm of office space in Q1, up 13 percent from the same period in 2013. Daniela Popescu, head of research at Colliers International, said a lot of companies in the IT&C sector doubled their operations in Q1, compared with the same period last year. Many companies expanded their space in class A office buildings, while others relocated their headquarters to bigger, more high-quality space.
