The 12th annual CIJ Awards Poland were held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Warsaw on Oct. 30 by CIJ, Central and Eastern Europe’s leading real estate magazine. The CIJ Awards are aimed at developers, their projects and their service providers in the commercial and residential real estate sector. On the basis of online voting by select CIJ readers and a panel of independent judges, Plac Unii–Liebrecht & wooD Group was named Office Development of the Year. The award was presented to Dominika Nowakowska of Liebrecht & wooD by Michael Shapiro, president of Millennium Logistic Parks (MLP Group).
The Plac Unii office-retail complex is located in the center of Warsaw, bordering the city’s Śródmieście and Mokotów districts. It comprises three buildings offering 56,800 sqm of leasable space, including 41,300 sqm of class A+ office space and a three-story, 15,500 sqm shopping center. In 2012, both the office and retail parts of Plac Unii were awarded a coveted BREEAM certificate with a rating of “very good”. The project was carried out by Liebrecht & wooD Group in cooperation with BBI Development NFI SA. Three companies involved with the international ING Group are tenants at Plac Unii. The building officially opened last month.
