The 12th annual CIJ Awards Poland were held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Warsaw on Oct. 30 by CIJ, Central and Eastern Europe’s leading real estate magazine. The CIJ Awards are aimed at developers, their projects and their service providers in the commercial and residential real estate sector. On the basis of online voting by select CIJ readers and a panel of independent judges, Senator–Ghelamco Poland/CBRE (Union Investment) was awarded Office Investment Transaction of the Year. The award was presented to Jeroen Van der Toolen, managing director at Ghelamco Poland.

The Senator office building was delivered in June 2012. It is a unique project which respects Polish history and tradition. It is becoming one of the most recognized buildings in Warsaw, thanks to its attractive facade and impressive atrium, which was refurbished out of a historical banking hall. Located in the most prestigious part of the city center adjacent to the historic old town, the Senator is one of Warsaw’s prime office buildings, along with Rondo 1, Metropolitan and the Warsaw Financial Centre. The Senator offers approximately 25,500 sqm of leasable space over six floors.
