Office take-up in Katowice hit 20,400 sqm at the end of the first quarter of this year, representing 42.3 percent of the annual average for 2015-2019, according to Cresa. New leases accounted for 76 percent of the leasing volume, while expansions made up the remaining 24 percent. Approximately 19,630 sqm was added to the Katowice market in the first quarter of 2020, with the completion of the first phase of Echo Investment’s Face2Face A. New supply in Q1 outstripped the total volume of new office space that was delivered in 2019 by 9,745 sqm.
