According to data published by Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) one in eight customers has seen a 30% decrease in their income. This suggests that the banks customers were not made redundant, but were moved to part-time roles for the time of the Pandemic. At the same time the number of credits has grown, with nearly EUR 6m given out in preferential loans that can be issued during the state of crisis. According to the MNB around 20% of the companies decided to use the mortgage moratorium that will last till the end of the year and allows them not to repay credits or interest rates until the end of 2020.
