One United Properties has sold more than 40 percent of the units in the One Peninsula residential complex in Bucharest’s Floreasca neighborhood. One Peninsula will provide heating via heat pumps that are connected to a geothermal source. This system will offer multiple advantages to residents of the complex: total autonomy of heat during winter months and autonomy of refrigerant for air conditioning in the summer. It is estimated that annual heating and cooling costs will be 50 percent less than conventional solutions. The construction of the ensemble, designed by X Architecture & Engineering in Romania and Bobotis + Bobotis Architects in Greece, started in August.
