The German automobile company Opel has launched its new project of Szentgotthárd: the company has built a motorcycle plant for its Flex brand. The first manufacturing work has been carried out successfully there and the number of employees has been increasing . Last year 178 more jobs were offered in the factory, while the company plans to provide another 600 workplaces within the next 3 years. Mass production of the first series will begin in December. Flex is the first of the planned 3 models, the second manufacture will start in the beginning of 2013, while the third one is planned for 2014.
