Opposition mocks Tusk’s first 100 days in power

29 February 2012

The leader of Poland’s liberal party Palikot Movement (the third most popular party in the country), Janusz Polikot, has criticized Prime Minister’s Donald Tusk cabinet on the occasion of its 100th day in power, according to the Polish Press Agnecy (PAP). “Ladies and gentlemen,” he sneered. “This was indeed a fantastic hundred days: the government went from one success to the next.” His string of sarcastic criticisms climaxed with swipes at the new minister Arłukowicz who’s become controversial because of his decision to try to introduce a new medical refund act that has thrown medical services into confusion. Palikot also mocked the government’s stance on ACTA issue, calling the initial decision on signing EU’s agreement “a clever and intelligent decision, essentially based on the ideals of the French Revolution”. He even spared a thought for the National Stadium opening, sarcastically calling what many see as a fiasco a “truly fantastic festival”, adding that he was sure the government’s next 100 day would be as successful”.
