Oracle has announced employees can continue to work from home in the context of the pandemic. The company intends to give up leased office space in Sky Tower, although the contract for the 10,400 sqm was renewed in 2016 and will expire only in 2024, according to market sources. An end of this contract means a reduction of about 19% of the space contracted by Oracle in Bucharest. The approximately 4,500 Oracle employees in Romania still work in Oregon Park, where the corporation has leased the largest space – 20,000 sqm leased since 2015 and another 5,000 sqm added in 2018 – and in Floreasca Park, where it has 20,000 sqm, since 2012.
“Oracle still offers employees the opportunity to work from home, but, unfortunately, the company is currently unable to provide balance sheet information for actions taken in 2020,” said company representatives.
