Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán officially responded to a far-right politician’s proposal of creating a list of Jewish people who “pose a national security risk.”
Orbán said “I reject this call on behalf of the government, and I would like you to know that as long as I am standing in this place, no one in Hungary can be hurt or discriminated against because of their faith, conviction or ancestry.” He said the idea of Jobbik MP Marton Gyöngyös is unworthy of Hungary. Gyöngyös, meanwhile, refuses to resign.
