Ustler Development and KUD International have received the thumbs up from the city of Orlando for a mixed use development at University of Central Florida/Valencia College downtown campus. The $90 million scheme will encompass a 600 student housing facility, academic and educational support space for both schools, retail and restaurant space, and a parking garage. The project will be home to Valencia College’s Walt Disney World School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The 15 story Creative Village Student Housing development will be part of the $1 billion, 68-acre Creative Village mixed-use complex.
“Our project will be integrated with the downtown campus and we see a unique opportunity where students are going to be walking across the street to go to class and then coming back to the student housing where they live — and they may attend class in the building as well,” Ustler said in a prepared statement.
