Orlando construction permit values plummet 34%

A new report from Dodge Data & Analytics has found that permit values in the greater Orlando area have dropped 34 percent over the first four months of 2016 when compared with the same time last year. A total of $761.4 million worth of permits where taken out in Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties this year versus $1.15 billion for the first four months of last year. Home permits declined from $1.65 billion in 2015 to $1.62 billion in 2016. Commercial construction values took the biggest falling going from $592.8 million a year ago to $360.1 million this April.
