The new Florida Realtors report states that second quarter closings on single family home sales in the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford metropolitan area were up 20.7 percent, compared to the same period in 2014. Also on the rise was the median sales price of $198,000 which was a 8.8 percent increase compared to the second quarter of last year. Townhouse and condo sales rose 20.5 percent for a total of 2,472 with the median price of $115,000 8.5 percent higher. Florida-wide, single family homes sales totaled 77,724 for the second quarter (up 15 percent) with a statewide median sales price increase of 11.1 percent.
