City of Ostrava shows through its 16th participation at the upcoming MIPIM (Cannes, March 12-15) its proactive and long-term approach to investors which has contributed to Ostrava high rating by Standard&Poor´s and Moody´s. They assign the city A+ and A2 rating respectively. The city is to attract further investors with its vision of the second strongest point of development in the CR. This is illustrated e. g. by the project of the Ostrava Science and Technology Park which has been successfully occupied and the city is preparing a project for the construction of two new multipurpose buildings. Moreover, a new development area will be created and the entire complex will be extended by 26 hectares. This extension is related to the VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava and the National Centre of Excellent Research in Information Technologies, IT4Innovations, where a supercomputer will be purchased and after being gradually put into operation in 2014 it will rank among the top 100 most powerful computers in the world.
