The entrepreneur Ovidiu Budeanu signed a franchise agreement with the French hotel group Accor for the opening of a 4-star Mercure hotel next to the extension of Arena Mall Bacău.
“A few days ago, we signed an agreement with Accor for a 4-star Mercure hotel with 80 rooms, an investment of around EUR 7 million. I want to focus a lot on the corporate market, which is why I thought of 3 conference rooms and a ballroom for events. Bacău has a good geographical position and we can attract conferences from the entire region of Moldova,” declared Ovidiu Budeanu.
The investment in Bacău is in the stage of technical documentation for obtaining the building permit, which is expected in about 5-6 months, at which time the builder SSAB from Bacău will start the work on the expansion of the Arena Mall, the construction of the hotel and a residential complex with about 300 apartments. The inauguration of the expansion of the shopping center is scheduled for November 30, 2024, and of the hotel for May 1, 2025 at the latest.
