Owner of Indotek claims that Budapest Airport has hired a consultant to help with the sale

9 November 2020

According to a report in Frankfurter Allegemeine Zeitung Daniel Jellinek, owner of Indotek, has claimed that the owners of Budapest Airport have hired a consultant to help with the sale of the airport. Last month it was revealed that a consortium lead by the owner of Indotek, and including national petrol producer MOL, and American investors, had placed a bid to takeover the airport. According to newspaper “Nepszava” the price of the airport could amount to EUR 5-6bn, but this also depends on the airport traffic, which in 2020 has been below 90% of the average in 2019.
