P3 lets 30,060 sqm in its Burgundy park to Dachser

12 February 2013

PointPark Properties (P3) has signed up the global logistics provider Dachser for a 30,060 sqm new lease contract in its Savigny-sur-Claritis logistics park in Burgundy. Dachser has leased half of the 60,180 sqm facility for its client, a manufacturer and supplier of office furniture, for a seven-year term, in a transaction brokered by Jones Lang LaSalle. “As we started to see earlier this year, the attractiveness of Savigny to logistics operators is improving considerably due to the impact of new and increased occupational taxes in the Île-de-France region,” said Andrew Stacey, Managing Director of P3 France. “Dachser has decided to take advantage of the attractive operating costs and to commit to the location for the long-term.” Dachser joins ITM Les Mousquetaires in the park, offering a total of 92,989 sqm of leasable area.

Approximately 53,000 sqm are still on offer in the logistics park located close to the multimodal container port at Sens and only 18 km from the Port of Gron operated by P3’s partner Logiyonne. This enables for 25 percent cheaper delivery of a container from Channel port of Le Havre to Savigny than by road. Operating costs are 20 -30 percent lower in Burgundy due to lower taxes and rents.
