In the first half of this year, P3 Logistic Parks leased 90,546 sqm in its Czech parks, of which almost 40% is in Prague and the surrounding area. New buildings at P3 Plzeň Myslinka and P3 Lovosice – which have already drawn tenants’ interest during construction – are also a significant addition to the portfolio.
Peter Jánoši, Managing Director of P3 Logistic Parks Czech Republic and Slovakia, said: “Demand for warehouse space in the Czech Republic and Slovakia continues to exceed supply, although less so than in previous years. I am pleased to see there are an increasing number of cases where potential tenants come to us with very specific requirements, and we are able to meet them.”
The most strongly represented sector among tenants that signed a contract with P3 in the first half of this year was unexpectedly printing and packaging, thanks in particular to the paper mill Mondi Štětí, which started to use the B1 hall in Lovosice to store paper and packaging materials. Similarly high demand was also addressed by companies involved in the automotive industry; WM Logistic Nýřany and Alllog Consulting, which occupied new premises in the newest P3 park in Myslinka near Plzeň. Last but not least is logistics, rounding the industrial trio.
In the first six months of this year, the P3 team concluded a total of 35 lease agreements. On average, this represents a new contract approximately every five days. Jan Andrus, Head of Leasing at P3 Logistic Parks Czech Republic, said: “Approximately half of the new leases were signed with brand new tenants with a variety of businesses, from the paper mill, to a beer distributor, a party decoration provider, a veterinary clinic, and an aquarium dealership.”
Another interesting fact is that more than 6,000 sqm of office space was leased, a quarter of which (1,520 sqm) without any connection to the warehouse lease.
